Douglas B. Roberts

Former Michigan State Treasurer

Mr. Douglas B. Roberts is a Professor of the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University. Mr. Roberts served as Treasurer for the State of Michigan from April 2001 to December 2002 and again from January 1991 to November 1998. From January 1999 to March 2001, Mr. Roberts served as Vice President of the Business Development and Best Practices at Lockheed Martin IMS.

Prior to January 1991, Mr. Roberts worked in the Michigan Senate as Director, Senate Fiscal Agency from April 1988 to December 1990 and as Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Department of Education. He has been Director of Willis Group Limited and Willis Canada Inc. since February 13, 2003. Mr. Roberts serves as a Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University. He served as a Director of Willis Towers Watson Public Limited Company from February 13, 2003 to January 4, 2016. Mr. Roberts holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Michigan State University.
